We’ve got EH3 in our hands yesterday evening and we’ve been going non stop into the night working on getting things ready to release in time. All version have been rendered but we still have to get some small stuff done and upload to our mirrors.
Torrent Version - Idea
We’ve been talking about giving people an early release of the EH3 HQ version if they would help seed the EH3 HQ version torrent. If this is something you might be interested in please come idle in #tricking_eh on etg and message me “sp4rky” to let me know you are interested.
Release
As for when it’s all going public, hopefully early Thursday morning but if not it will be Thursday at some point. It may also not hurt to be in our IRC chan if we start to feel like passing out early private versions. ;D
Mirrors, Uploads & News
We are planning to upload to QuakeUnity.com, Filefront.com if you have any recommendations for other mirrors please post in the comments. GeeVee.com YouTube.com, Vimeo.com, Viddler.com online steaming sites will get EH3 but this may take a few days. Right now we are more concerned about using our bandwidth to get EH3 Hq, Mq, and Lq versions up asap.
We will also be hitting up community websites with news and links to EH3. On our radar is Own-Age.com, ESReality.com, QuakeUnity.com. Again if you have any recommendations please let us know in the comments.
Versions
Here a list of the version that will be available. Mobile version (Ipod, Cell, PSP, etc.) will come later but please drop us a comment below of what mobile device you would like to have a version for.
High Quality
- Resolution - HD 720p (1280×720)
- 4 Audio Tracks Mixed by Ebola
- FTP and Torrent (If all goes as planned) options for download.
- Size - 1.6 GB
Medium Quality
- Resolution - HD 720p (1280×720)
- 4 Audio Tracks Mixed by Ebola
- No torrent option for download.
- Size - 645 MB (Lower Bitrate then HQ Version)
Low Quality
- Resolution - 800×450
- 4 Audio Tracks Mixed by Ebola
- No torrent option for download.
- Size - 400 MB
EH3 is so close I can taste it.

First I was like AMAGAD when I saw the newly added picture assuming it was a link to, ehm. I donno, lé movie. But then I was like

Event Horizon 3 (Done) & Quakecon update!

To hype a product, do it for a few weeks, possibly a month: not half a century.
Actually we did what we said we would. And that was a release at Quakecon. Other than that we had hoped things could get done quicker after that for the finishing touches on the film. The release did happen at quakecon but it was an early beta version that we got feedback from. It was also hosted on the web too by the GGL Wire’s Quakecon coverage website. We choose not to link to it from this site because it wasn’t the finished product. Today the finished product goes out in just a few hours.
The second installment was outstanding; it will be hard to beat even for you guys but having high hopes still.
Using ‘P’ instead of ‘E’ probably results in a quicker release for upcoming movie.
